SUDAME is an independent editorial project dedicated to the politics, history, economics, and culture of Latin America.
The aim of the website is to introduce Latin America to an international audience through in-depth articles, analysis, and reading guides that place current events within broader historical, political, and cultural contexts.
Founder
Francesco Ratti
Graduated in Humanities for Communication and currently completing a Master’s degree in Multimedia Publishing, I am a freelance journalist and a member of the Lombardy Order of Journalists since June 2023.
My interest in Latin America developed while working on my Master’s thesis dedicated to Rayuela by Julio Cortázar. Studying the novel and its broader Hispanic American cultural context led me to explore the history, politics, and culture of the region in greater depth, inspiring me to create a space dedicated to the analysis and dissemination of Latin American topics.
SUDAME was born from this ambition: to provide readers with the tools needed to better understand a complex region shaped by rich traditions, contradictions, and transformations that often receive limited attention in international media coverage.
